October 16 – 19, 2011 Oregon Holistic Nurses Association
The Oregon Holistic Nurses Association serves as a bridge between the traditional medical paradigm and universal complementary and alternative healing practices. Holistic nursing practices include such healing arts as aromatherapy, herbal medicine, energy work, meditation, guided imagery, medical massage and Tarot counseling to name just a few.
Holistic nursing is a new specialty in nursing that embraces holism as a lifestyle as well as a profession. We understand that true healing comes from within, and recognize that as health professionals, we must first heal ourselves. It is important to practice self-healing on an ongoing basis before we begin to tend to the healing of others. Because there are many roads to healing, we understand that we must seek our own path.
We are a professional group that honors and cherishes the diversity and unity that we share. The 2011 conference is our fourth community event. Non-members are welcome.
