Toni Gilbert, RN, MA, HNC, is a registered nurse with certification in holistic nursing and a private practice in transpersonal counseling. She has a formal education in art, and psychology with certifications in wellness counseling, mind-body consciousness, Tarot counseling and guided imagery. She studied art and its symbolism in a graduate art therapy school and holds a master’s degree in transpersonal studies from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology.

Toni currently writes for national and local publications, speaking to groups, and presenting at conferences that further the education of health care providers. She maintains a personal web site www.tonigilbert.com that is used as an educational tool to promote the author’s perspectives, professional activities, and published articles.

Gilbert is the founding editor of the Alternative of Journal of Nursing www.altjn.com. The on-line nursing journal publishes articles from holistic nurses and other health care providers on the cutting edge of their professions.

Toni is founding Director of the Oregon Holistic Nurses Association www.oregonholisticnurses.org that unites Oregon nurses in the principles of holism in healing practices, work environments and in their communities.

Ms. Gilbert is the author of Messages from the Archetypes: Using Tarot for Healing and Spiritual Growth published by White Cloud Press in Ashland, Oregon.
